Do I have to pay to use Fluent?+
No. The Free tier is fully functional — you just provide your own Gemini, Mistral, or OpenAI API key. The Pro tier ($9.99/mo) is a convenience + privacy upgrade: we run the AI for you on our servers so you never touch an API key.
Is Fluent local-first?+
Yes on Free. All screen capture, guardrails, credentials, and audit logs live on your machine. Only the AI prompts leave the device — and on Free that traffic goes to the provider whose key you supplied. On Pro, it goes to our proxy servers, which forward with our keys.
What if I can't afford $9.99/mo?+
Fluent is an accessibility tool — we never want cost to block anyone. Reach out at hello@getfluent.tech and we'll sponsor your seat. Charities and community ambassadors have dedicated paths above.
Do you refund?+
7-day no-questions-asked refund. Cancel any time from Settings; the refund issues automatically for the unused portion of the month.
Can I use Fluent offline?+
Partially. Voice/text/agent features need an LLM call, which needs internet. Calibration, TTS, onboarding, settings, input capture, and audit viewing all work offline.
Is my data used for training?+
No. Ever. Your screen content, voice, transcripts, and credentials are never used to train models. The audit log is local and never leaves your machine.
